I have used this website throughout several years of teaching to share projects with families and encourage integration of technology. It evolves and changes every year depending on the curriculum and needs of my students. I encourage you to click around to explore.
In its current state, this website highlights a limited number of the many units and activities which I completed with my 3rd grade classes over two years. Below, you will find a description of some of the pages you will see.
Weekly Communications- Each Friday, I sent home an email outlining what had happened throughout the week, and giving parents information about what was coming in the following week. I copied these emails onto the website for parents' reference.

Animal Adaptation Skits - Students wrote short skits with a partner to share three of their animal's adaptations. They created their animal masks with our fabulous art teacher after a study of animal structures and patterns. We invited our parents to watch and we shared with one another what we learned from each skit.
I Am Poemswritten by students and family members during a autobiography unit.
Math Topics - For each math topic, I try to make sure that parents understand the strategies and skills we are practicing in class. Often, these are different from what they were taught in school. I provide visual explanations, student strategy examples, and practice questions and resources.
